Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps that HMS Global Business Limited, a small IT firm, has taken during the financial year ending 31 March 2024 to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
Our Business
HMS Global Business Limited is a UK-based small IT firm that provides IT services, including software development, IT consulting, cloud solutions. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in all aspects of our business, and we take our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 seriously.
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain includes suppliers of IT hardware, software, and other professional services, primarily based in the UK and Europe. We recognize that some parts of our supply chain could be at a higher risk of modern slavery and human trafficking, and we are committed to working with suppliers who share our values in this area.
Policies and Procedures
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. To support this commitment, we have the following policies in place:
Code of Conduct: Our Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to ethical practices, including a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.
Supplier Due Diligence: We conduct due diligence on our suppliers to ensure they share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. We expect all suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and demonstrate their commitment to ethical labour practices.
Employee Awareness: We ensure that our employees are aware of the risks of modern slavery and how to report any concerns, including through our whistleblowing policy.
Risk Assessment
Given the nature of our business, we consider the risk of modern slavery within our own operations to be low. However, we acknowledge the potential risks within our supply chain, particularly where products and services are sourced from higher-risk regions or industries. We are committed to ongoing risk assessments and taking appropriate action where necessary.
Due Diligence and Monitoring
We perform regular reviews of our supply chain and seek assurances from our suppliers that they have adequate policies and procedures in place to prevent modern slavery. Where possible, we aim to work with suppliers who demonstrate strong ethical standards and responsible labour practices.
Training and Awareness
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, we provide relevant training to our employees, particularly those involved in procurement and supplier management.
Looking Forward
HMS Global Business Limited remains committed to continuously improving our processes to combat modern slavery. We will continue to monitor and review our policies, practices, and supply chains to ensure they are effective in preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
